Frequently asked questions

What is the TLDR series?

Short, focused study guides for high school and early college students. Each book covers one specific topic in roughly fifteen pages, with worked examples and the kinds of questions you're likely to be asked on a test.

How long is each book?

Roughly fifteen pages, or about 4,500 words. Designed to be read in one sitting.

Where can I buy them?

Every TLDR book is sold on Amazon Kindle. Browse the catalog for direct links to each title's Amazon page.

What devices can I read on?

Any Kindle device, the free Kindle app for iPhone / iPad / Android / Mac / Windows, or any web browser via the Kindle Cloud Reader. The books are DRM-free, so they also work with most third-party readers.

Are these AI-generated?

Yes. Each TLDR book is drafted with the help of Claude, an AI writing assistant from Anthropic, working from a structured outline and a strict editorial style guide. Every book is reviewed against the same standard: would a real student finish it and feel oriented to the topic? We disclose AI use on every Amazon listing, as KDP requires.

Are these books AP / SAT / ACT exam-aligned?

Many titles are explicitly written for AP-track topics (AP Biology, AP US History, AP Chemistry, etc.). Most also serve students preparing for the SAT, ACT, or general college-prep work. Each book's description names the exams and curriculum levels it's designed for.

What if a topic I need isn't in the catalog yet?

We're adding new titles regularly. If there's a specific topic you need that's not yet in the catalog, get in touch — we maintain a topic backlog and prioritize based on demand.

Can I get a refund if a book isn't what I expected?

All purchases are made through Amazon Kindle, so Amazon's standard refund policy applies — typically you can return a Kindle book within seven days of purchase if you haven't read more than 10% of it.

Do you offer print editions?

Not currently — we're Kindle-only at the moment. Print-on-demand may come later for popular titles.

Are the books accessible to readers using screen readers or text-to-speech?

Yes. Every TLDR book is published without DRM and includes proper text content (no images of text), so screen readers and text-to-speech tools work as expected. We have no informative images that require alt text — the books are essentially all text.
